Here is a map I've created to help you do so: To start out, we're going to need to locate that elusive Forest Cave. This appears to me to be the most efficient way to play the game. However, I would argue it is the way the developer would play if he were to do it. Most people won't play the game this way, but then again this is one of the hardest ways to play and it relies on one of the hardest caves in the game to find, so it makes sense most people will never have played this way. In here you will find the Battle Axe +1Īnd the wand at the bottom is the key item you absolutely must have to start grinding right away. At the very top left there is another hidden passage. There is a Wand of Lightning as well as a Sleep scroll that your magic user can scribe during a quick rest.Ībove the magic shop is the area I like to call the soup kitchen. You may have to talk to the shop owner and cancel out of his shop screen a few times to get here but it's worth it. At the top left of his shop there is another hidden passage. Next walk over to the magic shop on the far left. As well as another tower (converted into tombs) at the bottom right in the graves area that holds a Chain Mail +1 armor. There is a secret passage behind the church which holds a potion of healing and a staff of healing. Next we'll go get items out of the cemetary. It holds a couple of easy fights as well as the first pair of Guantlets of Ogre Strength that you'll find in the game. You can find one of them in the king's room where you start out. The castle has a bunch of hidden caves that are supposed to be towers. Ok so we're finally ready to start our perfect game! There are a bunch of hidden items in the castle that will make your job at doing this a LOT easier so let's go get all those first. You can't get perfect 18s on all of them from what I've seen so just hope for all scores above 15 and two of them 17 or 18 at least on the spell casters.

If you are rolling the magic user or cleric, also watch the other skills. Just watch the two numbers you are focused on which is dex and con. Don't zone out and skip a good roll because you will kick yourself if you do. I like to use the cool symbols in my names.Īfter you get that done then start rolling. (needs review)īasically just select all your characters and name them and give them color and everything like that. The Intelligence and Wisdom effect the spell casters number of spells they get at level up so you want to get those extra spells. Otherwise just focus on DEX and CON.ĭexterity affects how well you dodge attacks and how well you shoot in your ranged attacks so those are both very important.Ĭonstitution affects your hit points, so the more CON you have the more HP bonus you get on each level up so don't skimp on that either. For the cleric you need a high score in Wisdom. For the magic user you need a high score in intelligence. You're basically looking for an 18 in DEX and an 18 in CON if you can get them. Now here's one note you may want to know: We're going to grind a LOT in this method. It's not really recommended for a first-time player or if you want to "play to enjoy the game" so I want to be up front about that. Also getting the best gear requires this. We need to max out our guys so they can be truly amazing heroes of the land. Oh and also for quick and easy level and gold grinding.ĥ. We'll go kill some insane monsters in pursuit of great justice.

This includes easter egg caves, caves that have pretty much nothing in them as well, caves that you can get super lost inside and outside, caves you can barely find, and as you might guess mostly deals with caves.Ĥ. We will extract every ounce of fun out of the game by finding all the nooks and every cranny the developers have hidden for us. There are some rare items as well as some not-rare-at-all items, so for the purposes of a perfect game we're going to grab it all.ģ. Getting all the loot and cool items out of the game is also essential. Getting through the entire game without any characters dying is the essence of perfection.Ģ.
